Community
If you have questions about the Enthought Python Distribution, or any packages in the Enthought Tool Suite, please ask them on the Enthought-dev mailing list, (which is also available via gmane, if you don’t want it in your inbox).
There is also IRC channel for Enthought open source software: #enthought-dev on chat.freenode.net.
If you have questions specifically about the Chaco package, you can ask them on the Chaco-users mailing list, which is lower in traffic than the Enthought-dev list.
Additional information about some Enthought open source projects is available on the Enthought wiki, which is integrated with our issue tracker.
Issues
You can view tickets for bugs and features on the Enthought issue tracker. If you want to submit a ticket, you must create an account.
Licenses
The non-Enthought packages in the Enthought Python distribution are covered by their individual licenses.
Enthought Tool Suite packages are released under Enthought’s BSD-style license, with the following exceptions:
- Enthought.pyface.ui.qt4 and Enthought.traits.ui.qt4 are licensed under the Gnu Public License. If you develop software using Qt, you must select an appropriate license from TrollTech, the publishers of Qt.
